The Murray County 911 Center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is responsible for:
Answering emergency and non-emergency calls for service within Murray County, the City of Chatsworth, and the City of Eton
Dispatching appropriate public safety departments to calls for service based on jurisdiction
Coordinating multi-agency responses to calls that require the response of more than one department
Monitoring and reporting weather conditions for the safety of the citizens, visitors, and public safety personnel
Processing public safety personnel field-initiated requests
Maintaining computerized records of calls for service for all public safety departments within Murray County, the City of Chatsworth, and the City of Eton
Providing callers with instructions for rendering aid in medical emergencies
